Dr. Daleiden studies how learners regulate their attention, cognition, and motivation in digitally distracting environments. She conducts quantitative, qualitative, and integrated mixed methods research to better understand how people perceive attention and attempt to multitask in modern, technology-rich learning contexts.
Daleiden’s doctoral dissertation, The Role of Music in Self-Regulated Learning: An Exploratory Sequential Mixed Methods Study, examined undergraduate students’ music use and its influence on their self-regulation and attentional self-efficacy across various independent study tasks.
Teaching
At the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Dr. Daleiden teaches graduate-level research methods and undergraduate seminar courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. Grounded in evidence-based principles of educational psychology and instructional design, her instruction supports critical thinking, problem-solving, and development through experiential learning.
Consulting
Through her consulting practice, Dr. Daleiden provides research and evaluation support, helping organizations design studies, analyze data, and translate findings into actionable insights. She has advanced quantitative expertise in survey design and applied statistical modeling, including factor analysis, structural equation modeling, multiple regression, psychometrics, and program evaluation methods.
Dr. Daleiden is currently available for consulting and collaboration on projects related to mixed methods research design and methodology, quantitative survey and instrument development, data analysis and interpretation, and program evaluation.
